A SOCIAL
DRIVE

We recognize that a culture that promotes social empowerment is the only culture that can succeed. This vision is central to our identity as a community. Samarth is our social initiative, with which we ensure that the children of our workers can have a brighter future. Education is a permanent wealth, that stays for life. We have partnered with Pyssum (a non-profit voluntary organisation), which enables this project to provides the children with career & educational

counselling, admission facilitation, fully paid scholarships, vocational training or professional placement to prepare them for superior level jobs.

Initiated in 2012, Samarth strives to create a cultural shift that facilitates access to a better education and good job opportunities for the workers children that help empower them for life.

Accredited with ISO 14001, the worlds first international environmental standard certification, Orion strives to maximize natural usage efficiencies across its operations
and also endeavours to create positive environmental externalities. This effort is being implemented by
appropriate systems and procedures, that re-affirm that

we are creating a low carbon footprint and moving towards
a zero-waste unit. In addition to this we have adopting other environment friendly initiatives like harvesting rainwater, using water based chemicals & adhesives and recycling waste / disposable products. In addition to this we have adopting other environment friendly initiatives like harvesting

The ISO 14001 certification authenticates our ethos of sustainable development, which we carry forward in all

MATERIAL
TRAJECTORY

Orion believes in sustainable supply chain practices. We work with only those companies that have a high traceability rate for their raw material and engage in ethical methods of acquiring and processing skins & pelts. We also support and comply with the strictest chemical regulations.

Ensuring traceability of raw material back to the slaughter-houses allows us a clear understanding of where our leather

is originating from. Thereafter, we work with competent organisations to reduce the impact of cattle ranching
on deforestation.

Sustainability in the areas of human rights, labour (health & safety) and environment and also is determined by tracking the leather throughout all processes, to ensure that all practices are legitimate.
